created they struck up a HOT polka , a waltz, then a foxtrot, a
Kolomayka , the butterfly, the chuban , then polkas and more polkas
until you literally saw the dust rising off the floor.

same old nostalgia feeling is still here today ! Yes ! It is alive and
kickin' by the one group of talented entertainers know to all of us;

OLD TIMERS are a group of inspired musicians that have many years of
musical experience & which have all grown up during that nostalgia
period. They produce music that is very "unique".
The Ukrainian Old Timers specialize in other music as well.
Besides entertaining at social events they are very well known as a
"Ukrainian Band Show" which brings them to many festivals across North
America. Their recordings are spiced with instruments, vocals, and
comedy in the special Ukrainian Oldtimers flavor. The Ukrainian Old
Timers music is a musical experience that will bring you countless

experience in the music field for a combination of 150 years all
together. They have a total of 20 albums on the market. Which include
mostly original tunes that are written and composed by themselves.
They're in the process of producing their 21st Volume and will soon be
back in the studio to start creating a new release for the fans to
enjoy.
When it comes to Ukrainian music the Ukrainian Oldtimers are as
close to becoming an institution as a group of musicians can get.
Formed around the musical couple Ness and Linda Shydlowsky, the
Ukrainian Old Timers are a standard fixture across Canada’s Ukrainian
Festival circuit. The Ukrainian Oldtimers have recorded 20 albums and
are currently working on their next.
The Oldtimers evoke the festive spirit of a traditional Ukrainian
celebration with dances like the polka, kolomeyka, butterfly, waltz,
chuban, and foxtrot. Whether dancing along or simply listening you
cannot ignore the happy infectious music of the Old Timers. They are
keeping the music alive and well and also nurturing the heart and soul
of Ukrainian culture in Canada.
In 1999 the Ukrainian Oldtimers fulfilled a lifelong dream when
they toured the Ukraine. They were proudly returning music to the Old
Country that had been brought to Canada by Ukrainian Homesteaders a
century earlier.
Today the Ukrainian Oldtimers are as busy as ever touring across
Canada appearing at Ukrainian festivals in Vegreville, Gardenton,
Dryden, and Dauphin. At weddings and special events throughout the
year; wherever people are celebrating life in the Ukrainian spirit the
Ukrainian Oldtimers will be there.
